SHINRIN-YOKU - FOREST BATHING
Acrylics & Mixed Media on Canvas
£175
Inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku — immersing yourself in the atmosphere of the forest — this piece explores the sense of calm and connection I find amongst trees.
Layers of earthy colour and texture build and overlap like bark, moss, shadow and filtered light, creating something that feels both weathered and alive.
For me, being in woodland offers a kind of sanctuary — a place to slow down, notice the small things and reconnect with something beyond the noise of everyday life.
Shinrin Yoku – Forest Bathing is about that feeling of stepping beneath the trees and allowing the outside world to become quiet for a while.
